AUDIO & VIDEO MINISTRY
The Audio and Video Ministry provides professional audio and video services to the Church. The purpose of this ministry is to oversee audio and video recording of weekly worship services, manage the sale of tapes, CD’s and DVD’s, and ensure quality sound for congregants to hear the gospel message during worship. CARD MINISTRY
The Card Ministry compassionately sends spiritually uplifting cards to sick and shut in members. The ministry desires a speedy recovery for the sick and shut in and prays that God will sustain them on their sickbed and restore them from their illness. (Psalm 41:3) <top
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
The Children’s Ministry provides spiritual, cultural, recreational and educational guidance for children ages 3-12. The purpose of the Children’s Ministry is to reach, teach, and grow children by changing hearts for lifelong discipleship. This is accomplished by diving into God’s Word, praying together, encouraging one another and involving families in the lives of their children. The ministry also offers Children’s Church that provides formal and informal worship services just for children. (Proverbs 22:6) <top
CHRISTIAN BROTHERHOOD MINISTRY
The Christian Brotherhood Ministry strives to attract and engage all men towards advanced spiritual growth and leadership in the home, church and community. The mission of the Christian Brotherhood Ministry is to empower men and uplift God's Kingdom. The ministry offers weekend Bible studies, basketball games, and other fellowship activities. CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
The purpose of Christian Education at Liberty is to teach the Bible with clarity, offer relevant classes on the Christian life-style, help believers to grow holistically, and train believers for leadership. The ministry plans and coordinates various programs of education and spiritual development for the community and congregation; primarily training people to apply their mind to learning and understanding the word of God. CULINARY MINISTRY
The Culinary Ministry provides year round catering services for all ministry activities of the Church. The ministry is made up of talented cooks who willingly prepare and share exceptional meals with the bereaved and homeless. (John 21:9-12) <top
DANCE MINISTRY
The Dance Ministry’s purpose is to praise God with dancing. The ministry is composed of talented dancers of various ages who allow the Holy Spirit to move through the body, mind, and soul in order to convey the message of God's undying love. (Psalm 149:3) <top
DEACONS MINISTRY
The Deacons Ministry is composed of well-respected persons, full of the Spirit and wisdom, who serve the Church, its members and the community. They work as extended arms of the Pastor to see to the spiritual and physical welfare of the Church. (Acts 6: 3-4) <top
DEACONESS MINISTRY
The Deaconess Ministry supports the Pastor and Deacons in visiting sick and bereaved members as well as assists in the preparation of the Church ordinances. The ministry also advocates and promotes activities to train and develop the spiritual life of women and girls. (Titus 2:3-5) <top
DRAMA MINISTRY
The Drama ministry is composed of talented individuals who passionately reveal the Gospel of Jesus Christ through diverse and effective dramatic presentations. (Jeremiah 18:3-6) <top
EVANGELISM MINISTRY
The Evangelism Ministry is composed of individuals who have a passion for the lost. Through fervent prayer they seek to tear down the wall that separates the people of God and win souls for Christ. (John 4:28-29) <top
FINANCE MINISTRY
The Finance Ministry's purpose is administering the finance of the Church using sound financial management principles and practices. In addition, their mission is to be good stewards of the financial resources provided to Liberty so that Liberty can more effectively win souls and build up the body of Christ. HEALTH MINISTRY
The Health Ministry provides information and offers services to support development of a personal health maintenance program. Composed of a group of health promotion specialists, the ministry acts as a wellness resource to help improve quality of life and to address health and wellness concerns of the community and congregation. Available resources include blood pressure screening, exercise classes, nutrition classes, diabetes checks as well as distribution of health literature. (Romans 12:1) <top
HOMELESS MINISTRY
The Homeless Ministry’s purpose is to provide food, shelter, and clothing to those in need. The ministry treats everyone with dignity and respect. The ministry offers breakfast and prayer to the homeless every first and third Saturday at 8 o'clock. (Isaiah 58:7) <top
MISSION MINISTRY
The purpose of the Mission Ministry is to support special mission projects at home and abroad through prayer and giving. At Liberty, we have been blessed with many diverse ministries which enable us to address all three strands of the Great Commission... evangelism, discipleship, and reaching out to the poor. MUSIC MINISTRY
The Music Ministry is composed of musically gifted individuals who use their talent to lift up the name of the Lord in song, reach out to His people, and live lives in accordance with the Word of God. NURSERY MINISTRY
The Nursery at Liberty provides a safe, fun, and Christian learning environment for infants to children 2 years old during worship services and special Church events. For the Word of God says that even from the lips of infants and children, the LORD has ordained praise. (Matthew 19:13-15) <top
PASTOR'S AID MINISTRY
The ministry promotes and supports the role of the Pastor - a shepherd after God’s heart, who leads with knowledge and understanding. Through prayer and deeds, the ministry advocates for his individual and family needs. (Philippians 1:3-11) <top
PRAYER MINISTRY
The Prayer Ministry is responsible for receiving and disseminating the prayer needs and praises of the Liberty Family, the lost, our nation and people everywhere. The ministry promotes and encourages daily petitions of adoration, thanksgiving, and contrition to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Many individuals who have shared in this ministry gained a deeper personal walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. The ministry sponsors year round classes on praying effectively utilizing the Lord’s Prayer as the perfect example. (Luke 18:1) <top
TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY
The ministry provides free transportation for members and non members to regular and special services and activities at the church or away. (Luke 19:29-37) <top
TRUSTEE MINISTRY
The ministry ensures proper use, care, and maintenance of entrusted properties of the church for current and future usage. As servants, their primary duty is to care for the house of the Lord. (Matthew 25:14-30) <top
USHER & HOSPITALITY MINISTRY
The Usher Ministry is a chosen ministry of servants for Christ who generously greet and entertain guests, visitors, strangers and members with liberality and goodwill in order to make the worship environment in the house of the God as comfortable as possible. These friendly attendants also serve as hosts for special services and functions at the church. (Psalm 84:10) <top
YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY
At the core of every individual’s life is a need for relationships—with God and with God’s people. This ministry primarily ministers to young adults age 19-35 through various activities that promote spiritual growth, harmony, love and leadership. The ministry also sponsors annual activities that promote strong family ties. (Philippians 2:2) <top
YOUTH MINISTRY
The Youth Ministry plans and implements activities and programs for youth ages 13-18 that seeks to foster spiritual growth along with emotional and social awareness through Bible Studies, Youth Retreats, and Community Service Projects. The purpose of the ministry is to nurture a generation of upright individuals. The ministry also actively participates in the local, state, and national Progressive Baptist Congresses and Conventions as well as partners with other Christian and community organizations.
